The Bestest Most Awesomest Blog in the Whole World!

Yup. All I can say is FINALLY. I’ve been looking forward to seeing it for quite some time now lol. I went with 3 of my good friends Dani Ashley and Andy a few weeks ago. While we were waiting in the theatre there was this FLIPPIN’ HILARIOUS commercial involving a conversation between a car and a crab on the beach. Me and Dani couldn’t stop laughing each time they showed it lol. It’s starts off the crab approaches the car and the car asks some question like has the crab seen the surfers or swimmers or something like that I can’t really remember. And the crab is all like "Yes….I pinch." and then the car continues to say different things and the responses of the crab is like "I want to pinch."…"Maybe just a little pinch?"…"Why no pinch?"…"No pinch no pinch. No pinch". Man especially watching that when you’re overtired from lack of sleep just enhances the humour of it too. I think the first time it came on, me and Dani laughed for about 10 minutes straight afterwards. Anyways yeah the movie was AWESOME. It’s definitely one of my new favs right up there with Lord of the Rings. Just….WOW. Aslan has always been my most fav character, but I also just adore Lucy and Tumnus! Lucy is the cutest ever and Georgie Henley who plays her did such an awesome job on the role.

And I REALLYREALLYREALLY loved Narnia!

Yesterday was mostly fun. Went to the zoo with Dani and had a blast! Made friends with the monkeys. Oooh, monkeys. Yay. I think I’ll put one of the squirrel monkeys or tamarins or marmosets in my purse to take home, lol. And we saw this squirrel that must’ve not fully come out of hibernation, cuz it just stayed really still on a branch with it’s eyes open, acting pretty lethargic. Then it finally seemed to snap out of it and realized we were there cuz it was like "HOLY CRAP! HUMANS!!" and ran away.

But I also watched two small videos from Peta’s website(peta.org), one was about J.Lo fur horror, and the other was about reasons to go vegetarian.

Which afterwards I think I felt like crying. Or upchucking. Or both. It was so ultimately horrible how people could actually do that kind of stuff, such as just literally rip an animal’s skin and fur completely off while it’s still alive and conscious. And then the animal in the video was left to die without any skin on, and it shows it pretty graphically…I warn some of you though, it isn’t for the faint at heart.

I’ve always been against cruelty to animals and buying real fur and stuff, but I had NO FRICKIN IDEA it could be this seriously bad! I can hardly believe how people can just let this kind of treatment go on, and they just don’t care. I guess it’s cuz they’ve been de-sensitized to it all, especially the ones making money skinning these animals. And the ones working in slaughterhouses. It’s still wrong, no matter how numb you can be towards it.

It makes you think. A lot. But most of all I felt helpless that no matter how many well-intentioned people try to stop this evilness, some people and companies still manage to get away with it. And more unnecessary acts of violence continue on defenseless creatures. Anyways, I just felt the need to rant. And rant I did. I’m done now.

Last night me and Dani went out for slurpees and candy, then we walked around in Assiniboine park after midnight! Just talkin. Stuff. The sculpture garden looks pretty creepy in the dark. But it would be an awesome place to play hide-and-seek in the dark with flashlights! That’s what we plan to do with some others one saturday night after the 725 service, when it gets just a little warmer. I will hide like nobody’s business and they won’t ever find me. Muah. And it’ll be such a jolly good time.

Well that’s all that’s on my mind for now, cheerio!

So last weekend was pretty crazy with all the Juno commotion….they(the awards ceremony) were in town at the mts centre.

But the weekend before that was more fun for me, for I went to Roxy’s b-day party and then to Serhal’s party at Trish and Travis’ place. Roxy’s was ok, I love the girl, she’s uber awesome, but it was kinda….so-so? There were people splitting off into their own little groups and not mingling, so there wasn’t as much stuff going on. Jonathan Serhal’s was a lot of fun, we got there later, but there were still some people there dancing to some music cd. And then we all played "Sardines" in the dark till like 4am….tres fun.

Right now I have a cold. And I have to go home soon, that’s why I’m making this a quick update. Don’t worry I won’t sneeze on any of you. I’m catching a healing. Yes.

Just thought I’d finally update in a while. Just to let you all know I’m still alive. My 21st birthday was last wednesday(the 23rd).

And in other news….went to see the "Pacifier" with Dani last monday. It was great. So funny. Vin Deisel getting his butt kicked by a duck is funny. And we rented movies last sunday….I finally saw "The Incredibles" and I really loved it….I think I’ll add it to my ever-growing list of fav movies. Nice. Well, I can’t think of anything else right now, so I’ll update more later.

Last night me and some friends had a sleepover….and I’ve almost been converted to vegetarianism, lol. Yeah, I really hate the whole thing about slaughterhouses, hunting, and all that jazz, but it’s still too hard for me to give up meat entirely….I think it’s cuz when you’re raised on an omnivourous diet, it’s harder cuz it’s just like your body is addicted to it, like how it can be addicted to refined sugars. Well that and you have to have enough motivation to do it, otherwise you’ll still fall back on some things. I could see myself giving up at least some types of meat, like turkey, ham and lamb meat and maybe veal, but not all of it or any animal products entirely….like chicken, eggs, escargot, and seafoods…stuff like that. And especially not cheese or ice cream. I like cheese and ice cream too much. But at least partially, and taking part in activism or something I can do. But I would never throw paint on someone’s real fur coat, I just wouldn’t wear it ;).

Anywayz, so now we’re just watching movies and talking mostly. Oh, and just so you all know; sometimes I like to throw in random sentences that don’t pertain at all to the conversation at hand. Yes, this IS important information, and yes, you all DO need to know this. Naw, I’m not really serious, lol.

And once again it’s gone back to being cold after it seemed to be warming up again. GRRR. I hate it when this happens, "mother nature" should just make up it’s mind :p. Last night Danny Michael even mentioned how it seems as though Winnipeg only gets this: it’ll torture us by getting us all excited about the warm weather–then it goes right back to being cold for a couple of weeks…actually it seems to be doing that a lot this year. Whatever. I’ll just live in a parka until mid-April.

Well I should get back to whatever.
